Born in Holland, Tony van Marken’s  family moved to South Africa when he was still young and where he also completed a  Computer Science degree at the University of Cape Town.

In Canada he ran a venture-backed software business and earned the title of youngest CEO of a listed company in Canada. He was voted  Entrepreneur of the Year and was declared a member of the Canadian “Top 40 under 40”.

After moving to France he read  Richard Bass’ epic book Seven Summits, which told of the quest to climb the highest peaks on every continent, and he set out with a new mission.

Tony van Marken became the first  South African to emulate Dick Bass and climb all seven summits!

Today Tony uses these climbing experiences  combined with his business acumen as an award-winning entrepreneur, to discuss the challenges in setting as well as  exceeding extraordinary goals in business and in life.

As a  successful businessman and avid adventurer, he is also an enthralling motivational speaker. With topics like “Beyond the Summit” and “Everest Unplugged” along with riveting video footage, audiences are thrilled beyond expectation.
