Born in 1958, Naaas Botha represented his province in Rugby, Baseball and Softball at school. He played 179 games – 127 as Captain – for Northerns; his International Debut coming in 1980 – SA vs. South America.
Capped 28 times – 8 as captain, he captained the springboks in 1992, scoring a total of 365 points.
He has achieved a great deal in his rugby career -
- Victor Ludorum Award for Athletics in High School
- First player to score 300+ points in a season
- Youngest player in Currie cup Final – 19 in 1977
- Youngest winning Captain in Currie Cup Final – 22 in 1980
- As a SuperSport commentator and analyst, he is also a Director of a Sports Management Group and business entrepreneur..

Bob Skinstad keeps sports lovers highly informed and entertained in his role as part of the SuperSport team. An excellent sportsman himself, he has played 42 times for the Springboks as well as playing Super 10, 12 and 14 rugby for the Cats, Sharks and Stormers.
He has, in fact, represented South Africa at all levels of the game and captained the under 21’s in 1996.
After a stint in the UK, he made a successful comeback to rugby in South Africa with victory at the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Born in 1967, Joel Stransky will never be forgotten for that magical drop kick that won the 1995 Rugby World Cup for South Africa. Hosting the renowned Boots & All on Mnet’s Supersport, Joel played for South Africa 23 times scoring no less than 237 points.
He studied at the University of Natal, playing rugby for Natal and taking the record for points scored in a season. Later he moved to Cape Town and played for Western Province scoring 151 points in the Currie Cup, and accumulating a further 247 in 1995, and a further 120 in the inaugural super 12 tournament in 1996.
A knee problem forced his eventual retirement in 1999. As a CEO of a leading technology company as well as being a sports commentator, this highly acclaimed rugby player is sought after as an MC and delighting audiences with his motivational talks.
