Born in Stellenbosch, Heinz Winckler was winner of the first South African series of Pop Idols. He started studying law but gave that up to pursue his music career.
His debut single, Once in a lifetime, went double platinum in South Africa, and he was also nominated for two South African Music Awards.
With the 2003 World Idol competition, Heinz came came fourth!
His second album, Come Alive, was released via BMG, and features more ballads and rhytmic songs as well as songs written by himself.
Heinz has rleased three studio albums and toured the world and is available to appear as an MC as well as a motivational speaker.

Andre Watson, a civil engineer at first, is South Africa’s leading referee. He started refereeing in 1987, making the South Africa RFU panel seven years later. He controlled the first Test between Australia and the British and Irish Lions in Sydney in June 2001 and a record six Currie Cup finals.
Watson’s term, ‘Lazy Runners’, has become part of common rugby terminology.
He retired from refereeing international rugby in 2004.

Born in Durban, Penelope Jane Dunlop joined the all-girl group Pantha in 1979, becoming the lead singer for the rock band Hotline in 1980. When they disbanded in 1987 she set out on her own.
Also known as PJ Powers, she has enjoyed a highly successful musical career in South Africa with a huge following of both Black and White fans.
She has recorded 15 albums and is well known for her UK chart hit World In Union with Ladysmith Black Mambazo in 1995.
Some of her biggest hits like Jabulani she wrote herself. She has shared the stage with music greats like Eric Clapton, Joan Armatrading, Hugh Masekela and others. She sang at the inauguration of President Nelson Mandela and at the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
PJ Powers has received numerous awards and in 2004 she was voted 93rd in the Top 100 Great South Africans.

Trumpeter, bandleader, composer and lyricist, Hugh Masekela’s mix of jazz, bebop, funk and Afrobeat, of which he has attained platinum status, has inspired his fans and followers for decades.
