Growing up on a  cattle farm in the Western Cape, Alex van den Heever  completed his studies in Marketing and Business Management. He  joined world renowned game lodge Londolozi in 1995 to become a safari guide and was quickly made  Head Ranger.

During his time at  Londolozi he raised money for habitat restoration projects, did marketing presentations and conducted specialised safaris. He holds the highest qualification for a guide in the country. He also qualified as a  Senior Tracker giving him riveting experiences tracking  jaguars in the Amazon jungle and the black mane lions of Botswana.

He is the  co-founder of Nhlayisa Nutrition Solutions, a company which develops fortified food for rural people and also started a foundation which raises funds for the training and development of trackers in Africa.

His  love of the bush and the deep bond that formed between him and his tracker Renias has given him a deep insight into the power of relationships, and this is brought into his range of highly exhilarating motivational talks.
