Apart from excelling in many different sports like running, mountaineering, swimming and hang-gliding, Ricky de Agrela has his own property development and building company.

Some of his most riveting adventures have been climbing Kilimanjaro, motorcycling from South to North America and other adventures. Of course his most publicised expedition of flying a microlight around the world where he established the record for the Longest Microlight Expedition in the world.

He set a world record in 2004 by flying his microlight across five continents and over 63,000 kilometers – a journey of  extreme highs and lows, but ultimately triumph and success. In 2006 his story was  published as “Freedom Flight” by Struik.

As a motivational speaker and MC, he believes all things are possible and his topics for his inspiring talks are things like Maintaining a positive vision in a changing environment as well as Fear, Confidence and Complacency, amongst others.
