Born in Pretoria in 1952, Freek Robinson is a television and radio anchor of news and current affairs programmes with more than 30 years’ experience.

The fact that he has daily contact with newsmakers in politics and business means he is thoroughly knowledgeable in all news events, and has facilitated many panel discussions and debates on these issues. He is a very familiar face for his presentation of the current affairs programme Fokus. He has also produced and presented a number of documentaries on economic and political issues around the globe.

Add to that the fact that he has a masters degree in journalism from the University of Stellenbosch and a diploma in television presentation training from the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association

Freek Robinson has also raked in a number of awards – some of them are -

• Best SABC TV Current Affairs anchor
• ATKV Best Radio Current Affairs programme

As a Manager of Public Affairs at the SABC, Freek Robinson addresses many conferences and seminars for a wide variety of companies such as Anglo American, Telkom, Sasol and others. He also does media and television skills training for business executives and public figures – how to handle the media and conduct successful interviews for instance.
