Alison’s life hovered at the abyss, her body ravaged and bleeding….. how could anyone as broken as this survive? Alison’s story is a riveting drama of how a courageous woman found the inner strength to triumph over an attack which left her almost dead. Her refusal to become another victim in South Africa inspires people all around the world.

Born an raised in Port Elizabeth, she was head girl at Collegiate High School for Girls in 1985. She spent four years overseas before returning to South Africa to work as an insurance broker.

In 1994 she was abducted outside her home by two men who  raped, stabbed, disembowelled her and slashed her  throat 16 times. The miracle of it all is that she refused to die, but made it! Found at the side of the road by a young veterinary student, she was taken to hospital where, with such severe injuries, there was grave doubt as to whether she could possible make it.

No wonder she is a highly sought after inspirational speaker worldwide, but particularly in South Africa.She tells in detail of her abduction, rape and vicious attack, giving  insight into the tools she used – and continues to use – in her fight for survival.
